Sicuur
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Overview
Sicuur is published by Pebble Tools. It is designed around privacy, personal choice and on-device processing. Sicuur does not monitor another person and does not operate an advertising network or data-broker service.
Information stored on your device
Your Sicuur Plan, rules, reasons, alternatives, Pause activity, reflections, check-ins, journal entries, protection schedules and related private records are stored locally on your device.
Sensitive local records are stored in an encrypted local database. The database key is stored separately using device-protected keychain storage.
Screen Time and protected apps or websites
Sicuur uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls technologies when you choose apps or websites to protect.
Apple provides Sicuur with opaque selection tokens. Sicuur does not receive or upload a readable list of the apps or websites you select through Apple's picker.
Trusted Unlock
Trusted Unlock is optional. If you enable it, Sicuur uses a remote relay so a person you choose can receive and respond to temporary-access requests from their own device.
The relay may process and store:
- Your first-name label.
- Your trusted person's first-name label.
- Your trusted person's email address.
- A Sicuur-generated installation identifier used to secure relay communication.
- Trusted Unlock request duration, status and timestamps required to operate the approval flow.
The relay is not sent your journal text, private reflections, messages, contacts, screenshots, location, the identities of protected apps or websites, or the reason you requested access.
Service providers
Sicuur uses infrastructure providers to operate Trusted Unlock and transactional email delivery. Cloudflare infrastructure is used for the remote relay and associated storage, and Resend is used to deliver Trusted Unlock invitation and approval emails.
These providers process information only as needed to provide the relevant service to Sicuur.
Advertising, analytics and tracking
Sicuur does not display third-party advertising. Sicuur does not use the Trusted Unlock information described above for advertising, behavioural advertising, advertising measurement or cross-company tracking.
Support
If you contact Pebble Tools for support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and any screenshots or device information you voluntarily include.
Your choices and deletion
You can use Sicuur without enabling Trusted Unlock.
Within Sicuur you can export a private copy of your local data and use the app's deletion controls to remove local Sicuur data and eligible Trusted Unlock relay data.
You can also turn off Trusted Unlock or change your trusted person from within the app.
Data retention
Local Sicuur data remains on your device until you remove it using the app's controls, delete the app, or perform other device-management actions that remove the app's data.
Trusted Unlock information is retained only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the feature and may be removed when the relevant Trusted Unlock relationship or Sicuur data is deleted, subject to limited technical, security or legal retention where required.
Security
Sicuur uses technical safeguards appropriate to the information it processes, including encrypted local storage, device-protected keychain storage and authenticated relay requests. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
Sicuur is not directed to children under 13. Sicuur is designed for individuals managing their own choices and their own device, not for monitoring another person's device.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Sicuur's features, service providers or data practices change. The latest version will remain available at this URL.
